About The Event
Sadly Lofi will be closing its doors July 1, 2023. For over 20 years the beloved venue has been a mainstay in Seattle's underground dance scene and has hosted a wide variety of bands-both local and national.
Mamma Casserole has been a supporter of Lofi for all this time, intially djing at events and then booking live acts when the Comet Tavern stopped booking bands in the fall of 2013.
Although Mamma mostly retired from booking shows this event on May 26 will be an opportunity for her to say farewell and to celebrate this incredible venue.
Hope you can all make it.
Show features Down North and Special Guests TBA https://downnorthband.com/ https://www.facebook.com/downnorth/ Musical Shape Shifters There are some performers who come to music later in life. Then, there are folks who you can just tell were voracious students and consumers of music since before they could talk. Seattle / Los Angeles / North Carolina based quartet Down North fall squarely into the latter group. Trying to pin genre tags onto their unique brand of psych-infused punk soul is an exercise in futility. These creatives pick and choose just-right bits and flavors drawn from the whole of modern western music like painters with unlimited palates. = Black Shelton and the American Dream (PDX) https://www.instagram.com/black.shelton.official/ https://blackshelton.bandcamp.com/
